  They're not fooling around here. Serious deals, in serious quantities. Impressive quality, too Besides the cheapest gas and chicken noted by others, it offers the best steak selection in town, with thicker cuts than any grocery store. I am constantly amazed at the breadth of their stock -- jarlsberg, razor blades, eyeglasses, vacuum cleaners, birthday cakes (really good), batteries, jewelry, socks, swimming suits, cell phones, etc. -- all at the best prices. Efficient and friendly staff. Avoid Saturdays.

  Those Costco folks are no fools. This location is in DC, but very close to the border with Maryland. So in Maryland, a grocery store or other big, general-purpose retailer is not allowed to sell alcoholic beverages. So this Costco location just over the border has a HUGE selection of wine and liquor. They have lots of beer, too, but I was surprised they didn't go even further and have more selection. They mostly have big cases from big names (mostly premium names like Stella, etc.) and sort of "variety packs" from select craft breweries, including some local ones.
